A commitment to create more stories
The Barnabas Group is about making an impact. The following stories are just a sampling of the many different ways God is using members, attendees or affiliates to implement change and create value for the ministries we serve.

"The Barnabas Group (TBG) gives half timers like me the opportunity to be exposed to and become engaged with "best in class" ministries and non-profits where I can do more than write a check.
TBG provides the ideal environment for those who want to use their time and talents to make a difference in the lives of others - who want to find the focus and traction for that desire."David Allman – Atlanta, GA

"I thought you'd like to know that as a result of the Fall Barnabas half day, where Mark McGoldrick of Priority Associates spoke:
I was able to connect Mark with Shan Gastineau, who, with his wife, Lisa, went on a mission trip to Puebla, Mexico with Mark and a group of Canadian business leaders via Priority Associates - where they spent a week speaking to and sharing Christ with the business leaders, doctors and professors of this community, many who came to know Christ personally.
Also, prompted by an invitation from Scott Kaufman, I attended a Priority Associates event, put on by Mark, called The Great Exchange, where I heard a young man tell his story of having taken a Priority Associates course, called Empower, which equipped and empowered this young man to be more strategic and effective in the sharing of his faith in Christ, resulting, almost immediately, in three people coming to know Christ personally - two family members and a good friend. I signed up for the next course, as did Scott, which we took this spring. Since taking the course, I am using the tools I gained and am sharing my faith on a regular and strategic basis and I have seen people both come to Christ and others grow significantly in their relationships. One of these tools was to invite non-believing friends (pre-Christians) to a large group gathering called Pondera, where an excellent and entertaining speaker tells his story of his faith journey, explains the Gospel and offers attendees the opportunity to accept Christ's death as forgiveness of their sins. There were about 135 people in attendance. 27 indicated decisions for Christ and 16 people signed up to be in small groups. One of the 5 people who came with me made a decision for Christ and I have had follow up conversations with the others leading to deeper and more meaningful conversations about life and faith.
Shan Gastineau and I are now both leading an Empower course in our office, and I am also leading one in our home fellowship group. Additionally, Shan and I are taking and will be leading Foundations courses this fall, as well as leading Empower courses, and hopefully, creating a Great Exchange event in Buckhead. He and I are seriously considering heading up the Buckhead branch of Priority Associates.
I just thought you'd like to know that from that half day, many have been impacted!"Paul Hanna – Atlanta, GA
